Patients present
to the dental office for reasons related to appearance, function
and discomfort. All three areas must be in harmony for overall
patient satisfaction. Although occlusion has traditionally been
thought to be an essential element for long-term clinical success
and patient satisfaction, most practitioners do not employ basic
occlusal principals in daily practice. This evidence-based hands-on
program, the first in the I Can You Can Occlusion Series, will
detail occlusion as related to basic restorative dentistry, oral
rehabilitation, implant therapy, fixed and removable prosthodontics,
parafunction, dental orthotics, and TMD. The program will consist
of 5 Sessions (each 2 days held over a weekend) where you will
treat your own patients. The course will have a maximum of 6 participants
thereby ensuring personalized instruction. By the end of the program
basic occlusal therapy will become a routine part of your treatment
genre, providing your patients an incredible service that is cost
effective, efficacious, and exciting to do.

"I
took Dr. Racich's Occlusion course 6 years ago to complete
my Orthodontic training. I realized that Orthodontics is
full mouth reconstruction, but with the natural dentition.
Had I realized the importance and the relevance of Occlusion
to almost every treatment I perform on patients, I would
have done this course much sooner.
Compared
to the confusion taught in Dental school, Dr. Racich teaches
Occlusion in a very concise, practical manner. I am very
comfortable and confident in performing cases that are as
simple as a single crown to full mouth reconstruction using
a predictable, systematic approach.
I
have learned that a large part of the long term success
of implants is related to the restoration. Understanding
occlusal function and how this impacts your crown-implant
is absolutely essential in diagnosis and treatment planning.
You have to start at the restoration planning and how occlusal
forces will act on your restorations. This will aid in the
decision on the number and location of the implants.
Michael
Racich is by far one of the BEST Mentors I have ever had.
He loves Dentistry - and to learn from someone who loves
dentistry and teaching is a breath of fresh air and just
gets me excited all over again about Dentistry. Mike is
very down to earth, approachable in his attitude and very
giving of his time. I find that's very rare in such a prominent
practitioner (his CV is very impressive indeed)."

| "Dr.
Racich helps to take the complex world of occlusion and distil
it down to the simple building blocks to establish a foundation
of knowledge to build upon. I am impressed by his keen interest
in my understanding of the material and his communication
throughout the course to ensure a progression of learning.
